A Jewish student at King’s College London was forced to lock himself in a room on campus to escape an aggressive anti-Israel mob that tried to break through the door, according to a report by The Jewish Chronicle.

The incident took place last Thursday during a conflict resolution event titled "From Conflict to Connection: Israelis and Iranians in Dialogue," which the student had organized. The event, meant to foster peaceful discussion, quickly turned chaotic when Iranian researcher Faezeh Alavi was interrupted by an anti-Israel protester. The protester demanded she justify sitting next to an Israeli participant, citing the war in Gaza as "genocide."

As tensions escalated, a crowd of protesters outside began chanting "Free Palestine" and disrupting the event. Alavi—who fled Iran at 25 in part due to the regime’s oppressive policies—had to be escorted out by security for her safety. Meanwhile, the student organizer, realizing the growing danger, called security and advised Alavi to leave.

However, he himself was not safe. He fled into a nearby chaplaincy room and locked the door as approximately five protesters pursued him, pounding on the door in an apparent attempt to force their way in.
