Argentina's President Javier Milei opened up about his deep connection to biblical texts in an interview with French media outlet LCI, revealing that he consistently draws inspiration from the Torah, particularly the Book of Exodus, which he described as the most important liberation story in human history.
"I always make reference to the Torah, perhaps you've noticed that. And I quote passages from the Torah, including the Book of Exodus," Milei told the French network.
He recounted the story of Moses and Aaron standing before Pharaoh, presenting them as symbols of resistance against overwhelming power. Milei drew a striking parallel between Pharaoh's might and that of today's superpowers, the United States, Russia, and China, emphasizing the historic triumph of liberation despite the odds.
"I quote Genesis and Exodus because for me, this is the most important liberation story of humanity," Milei said. "These are two brothers, Moses and Aaron, who stood before Pharaoh, the equivalent of the United States, Russia, or China today, and they succeeded in liberating their people."
