HaGaon Rav Nachum Nosbacher, one of the roshei yeshiva at Yeshivas Shaar HaTalmud, has launched a new daily halacha segment on Kikar HaShabbat titled "A Minute from the Beis Hora'ah." The shiurim are based on the psakim of HaGaon Rav Amram Fried shlita, a leading posek and dayan.
In today's segment, Rav Nosbacher addresses two practical questions for the Yom Tov season: the obligation to purchase gifts for one's wife before Yom Tov, and the halachos surrounding wine consumption during Chag HaSukkos.
The first question touches on the mitzvah of simchas Yom Tov and what a husband's obligations are in ensuring his wife's joy during the chagim. The second explores the specific dinim that apply to wine during Sukkos, a topic with both halachic and minhag dimensions that affect how the mitzvah of simcha is fulfilled in the sukkah.
The segment is part of a regular series bringing practical halacha from the beis medrash to the daily life of bnei Torah and frum households, with each shiur running approximately one minute and addressing a single, concrete she'eilah.
