The excluded streets include, in Heftzibah: Ben Ish Chai, Yosef Karo, Rabbi Tzadka Yehuda, HaHafetz Haim, Ben Zion Abba Shaul, Hida, and Levi Eshkol (numbers 2-8 and 61-75).
In Ramah Bet, the following streets were excluded: Rabbi Akiva, Rashbi, Hillel, Rabbi Leivitus, Yehuda HaNasi, Rashbag, Rabbi Yehoshua, Mitzpeh HaRashap, the Admor of Belz, Mahzikey HaDat, Techelet Mordechai, Ohel Yehoshua, Kedushat Aharon, Dover Shalom, Rabbi Pinchas Ben Yair, and Herzog Boulevard.
All other streets and neighborhoods in Beit Shemesh will be eligible for firearms licensing. The exclusion of these areas was based on the residents' fundamental opposition to the State of Israel and its institutions, according to officials.
Ben-Gvir stated: "I am proud to continue the firearms revolution and expand it to Beit Shemesh as well. The normative residents of Beit Shemesh, like all citizens of the State of Israel who love the State of Israel, have a basic right to defend themselves and their families."
The minister added: "We will continue to expand the firearms reform, adding more cities, settlements and neighborhoods to eligibility, and ensure that as many citizens as possible can defend themselves and the State of Israel. My policy is clear: weapons in the right hands save lives! But those who proudly display PLO flags and photograph themselves with terrorists are enemies, and therefore the extremist neighborhoods have been excluded from firearms eligibility."
