Caspit: Bibi, what are you afraid of?

Journalist Ben Caspit joins Gadi Eisenkot's call for a televised debate with the prime minister: You're better at talking, so why are you dodging?

Journalist and broadcaster Ben Caspit is sharply criticizing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for refusing to appear in a live televised debate against opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot, and is calling on him to show up before the elections.

During a radio broadcast, Caspit addressed the prime minister directly: "I'm calling on Netanyahu again: you honorable coward, come to a debate with Gadi Eisenkot. Between us, you have the advantage when it comes to talking. A little less in deeds: what are you afraid of?"

He stressed that Netanyahu has no reason to avoid a confrontation in the area where he excels: "I don't think Netanyahu can say 'this isn't my field.' Netanyahu is Mr. Television, he's far more verbal than Eisenkot. I'm calling on you, you honorable coward - go to the debate!"

Caspit's remarks come against the backdrop of growing calls from Eisenkot's camp for a televised debate with Netanyahu, and amid criticism from the right that the opposition is simply trying to improve its standing in the polls.
