IDF forces eliminated a terrorist who carried out a car-ramming attack at a checkpoint in the area of the IDF's Binyamin Regional Brigade on Wednesday afternoon, the military said.
According to the IDF, troops operating at the scene eliminated the terrorist after the attack. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit had earlier reported the suspected ramming in the area of the Maccabim checkpoint on Route 443.
According to Magen David Adom, a report was received at 4:54 p.m. at the emergency call center of its Ayalon region about a man who had been struck by a vehicle on Route 443, west of Beit Horon.
MDA medics and paramedics, together with an IDF medical team, are providing medical treatment to a man around 40, who is in serious condition and unconscious.
Route 443 is a major highway linking Jerusalem and the Modi'in area.
