Officers from the Oz station in Jerusalem District, working alongside civilian enforcement authorities, have exposed an illegal commercial operation running out of a public bomb shelter in Jerusalem's Armon HaNatziv neighborhood.
The location housed what investigators describe as a pirate business selling clothing items bearing brand names suspected to be counterfeit, operating on a significant scale.
According to police officials, the operational activity that took place the culmination of an extended process involving intelligence gathering, evidence collection, undercover work, and coordination among all enforcement agencies. As part of the investigation, officers conducted a documented purchase of items from the location to verify suspicions that had emerged during the operation.
Forces from Oz station then arrived at the site together with representatives from the Tax Authority, Jerusalem Municipality, the Federation (anti-counterfeiting organization), and economic enforcement officers from Jerusalem District.
During the search, authorities seized a large quantity of merchandise suspected to be counterfeit, with an estimated value of approximately 125,000 shekels. Cash found on the premises was also confiscated.
