Five people sustained injuries of varying severity in a traffic collision Sunday evening on Route 99 near Kibbutz Shnir in northern Israel. Emergency medical personnel from Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's national emergency medical service, provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting the wounded to Rambam and Ziv hospitals via MDA-Hatzalah Air helicopter and intensive care ambulances.
Among the injured was a 10-year-old girl in serious condition suffering from abdominal trauma, and a 19-year-old man in moderate condition with facial and pelvic injuries. The three remaining victims sustained light injuries.
MDA paramedics Eli Ben Zaken and Yuval Levi, along with emergency medical technician Yechiel Biton, described the scene: "When we arrived at the accident site, we observed two vehicles with severe damage in the middle of the road. We quickly surveyed the scene and identified five casualties with varying degrees of injury, including a girl around age 10 with impaired consciousness in serious condition with abdominal trauma. We immediately began providing medical treatment to the wounded and evacuated them swiftly to the hospitals."
