Netanyahu Warns Iran: Unimaginable Consequences Await

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a sharp warning to Iran during a pre-Rosh Hashanah toast, declaring that the Islamic Republic's regime is on its last legs and cannot fathom the Israeli response that would follow any attack on the Jewish state.

At a special government toast marking the upcoming Jewish New Year, Netanyahu praised the achievements of Israeli forces on multiple fronts and highlighted what he described as significant progress in confronting Iran. "We are at the threshold of Rosh Hashanah, and more than ever, the State of Israel is at the forefront," the prime minister said. "Thanks to the wise and courageous decisions we made together at this table, thanks to the bravery of our fighters, thanks to the resilience of our people, we have achieved tremendous accomplishments. Israel is stronger than ever, our enemies are weaker than ever. Together with the United States, we have achieved significant gains in removing an existential threat from above our heads. We have distanced atomic bombs and ballistic missiles from ourselves and struck the Iranian axis with great force."

Netanyahu went on to suggest that Iran is refraining from escalating hostilities because it understands the potential consequences. "We are determined to defend ourselves, we are determined to strike our enemies. They are not attacking us. Iran is refraining from doing so, and it knows why," he said. "Of course, it could err and make the mistake of attacking us. It will absorb a blow that it cannot even imagine." He added a direct message to Israel's adversaries: "I say to our enemies: don't mess with us. This nation knows how to unite in moments of testing, and it is currently the strongest power in the Middle East, and some say even beyond."

The prime minister also commended the Israel Defense Forces, saying, "I want to bless from here the heroic soldiers of the IDF, the security forces who work constantly. We are eliminating terrorists all the time, in Lebanon, in Gaza, in Judea and Samaria." He concluded with an expression of hope regarding the Iranian regime's future: "The achievements are tremendous, but there is still more to complete. I am referring first and foremost to the downfall of the regime. This regime in Iran, its end is near. It is weak, it is fighting for its life, it is faltering. And there is still a mission to complete, which we are determined to bring about. This will definitively change the face of the Middle East and the history of our people. We know that we are determined to do this, and we are determined and know that we are capable of doing this."
