Two Critical in Judea Junction Terror Attack; Terrorists Killed

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed this morning (Friday) that terrorists carried out a shooting attack near Judea Junction in the Judea Brigade sector. Initial reports indicated multiple casualties at the scene, and IDF forces immediately deployed to the location.

According to the IDF, the terrorists fled the scene after the attack. Large numbers of IDF forces launched a pursuit and set up extensive roadblocks across the area to locate and neutralize them.

After a brief chase, IDF forces reached the terrorists, who continued firing at security personnel. The forces eliminated them on the spot.

The attack occurred on Route 35 near the Tarqumiya checkpoint. Security forces treating the wounded at the scene have not yet released details on their conditions.

The IDF Spokesperson confirmed: Following the shooting attack in the Judea Junction area of the Judea Brigade, two terrorists have been eliminated. IDF forces are continuing searches. A cordon has been placed on several villages in the area. Further details to follow.

Magen David Adom reported that medics and paramedics, working alongside an IDF medical team, are treating five victims: two in critical condition being evacuated to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah Ein Kerem hospitals, one in moderate condition, and two lightly wounded.

Judea and Samaria has been the scene of multiple shooting incidents and attacks in recent months. Last September, a terrorist carried out a shooting attack in the Neveh Tzuf area of the Binyamin Brigade, firing from a passing vehicle at Jews immersing in the Ein Re'aya spring on erev Yom Kippur. One Jew was seriously wounded in that incident.

In July, two IDF soldiers fell in a deadly shooting attack in the village of Tal in the Shomron Brigade — Major Yuval Ezra hy"d and Staff Sergeant (res.) Benayahu Melet hy"d. Following that attack, the Prime Minister and Defense Minister ordered the immediate demolition of the terrorist's home and intensive operations in villages serving as terror hubs throughout Judea and Samaria.
