French PM reports 80% judicial action rate on arrests, most suspects known to police

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu stated that arrests have led to police custody with nearly 80% resulting in judicial action. He noted that two-thirds of those arrested are adults, almost all are men, and many were already known to police. Lecornu said judicial proceedings will help calm the situation by removing a number of individuals from action.
