The Israeli military carried out airstrikes Thursday afternoon against Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon, responding to an overnight attack on Israeli forces operating in the security zone.

According to an official IDF statement, the air force targeted warehouses storing weapons and combat equipment belonging to Hezbollah. The military said these munitions were intended for use against both IDF troops and Israeli civilians. Intelligence units provided precise targeting information for the strikes, which were executed with high accuracy.

The overnight incident involved two explosive drones launched by Hezbollah toward Israeli forces stationed near the Ali Taher ridge in the security zone. The drones were aimed at IDF personnel but the attack was thwarted, and no casualties were reported among Israeli troops.

An IDF spokesperson emphasized that "the IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel or its forces, and will continue to operate to remove threats." The statement reflects Israel's policy of immediate response to any attempted attacks on its military personnel or civilians, underscoring the ongoing security challenges along the Lebanese border despite the formal ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
