IDF to Launch Major Strikes in Lebanon

Municipalities in northern Israel have notified residents to prepare for an imminent wave of IDF airstrikes across Lebanon, with possible blast echoes audible in the region.

The IDF is continuing its campaign of strikes in Lebanon. Roughly two weeks after the massive tunnel detonation at the Ali Taher ridge, northern Israeli residents have received another special alert ahead of a major IDF operation, this time apparently a wave of air force strikes.

Municipalities in the north sent out notifications stating: "In the coming hours, the IDF will carry out a wave of strikes in Lebanese territory. As a result of the strikes, blast echoes may be heard in the area. At this stage, routine continues and there are no special instructions for the public."

In recent months, the IDF has refrained from striking in Lebanon due to the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. However, since the collapse of the Persian Gulf ceasefire, the IDF has been increasingly willing to take bolder action and strike in Lebanon.

Activity peaked about two weeks ago when the IDF detonated underground tunnels at the Ali Taher ridge in a massive explosion that caused an earthquake measuring 4.1 in the region.
