A 40-year-old mother of four from Frankfort, Illinois, has been arrested and charged with murder following the death of her two-year-old son, according to the New York Post. The child was found hanged in the basement of the family home.
A neighbor discovered the tragedy when she entered the house and found the toddler's body suspended by a rope. Acting quickly, the neighbor cut the rope, lowered the child to the floor, and began performing CPR while calling emergency services.
