The US military has drawn up plans to hit Iran's energy and nuclear infrastructure with the MOAB, the weapon known as the "Mother of All Bombs," CNN reported. Iran's Revolutionary Guards have now issued a warning in response. Israel's security establishment raised its alert level on October 14 to the highest point in months, after intelligence assessments pointed to a possible Iranian attack.
Revolutionary Guards spokesman Hossein Mohabbie answered the reported plans directly.
"The United States has the 'Mother of All Bombs.' We will show them the 'Father of All Bombs,' and it will certainly be something new for them," Mohabbie said.
As reported on October 15, the MOAB is built to produce a powerful blast wave across a wide area against exposed or lightly protected targets. Bunker-buster bombs work differently. They are engineered to bore through earth and concrete before detonating.
