IRGC Navy claims two oil tankers hit naval mines in Strait of Hormuz

The IRGC Navy Public Relations Department claimed that two oil tankers struck naval mines earlier today while attempting to pass through an unauthorized southern route of the Strait of Hormuz. The vessels' engine rooms were disabled following explosions and severe fires. The tankers were carrying over 4.5 million barrels of crude oil combined and were abandoned by their crews on the southern coast of the Strait of Hormuz after the incidents.
