Israeli ambassador says fans barred from match while pro-Hamas signs allowed in Netherlands

Israel's ambassador to the Netherlands stated that several Israeli fans were denied entry to a Hapoel Be'er Sheva match under the pretext of "security risks," while attendees displaying signs in Hebrew reading "Go Hamas" were permitted entry without interference. The ambassador noted that Hamas is designated as a terrorist organization in the Netherlands and referenced the group's October 7 attacks as "the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust." The ambassador concluded that "something is fundamentally rotten in the Netherlands."
