Nepal flooding

An Israeli citizen in his 60s has gone missing in Nepal's Rasawa region following devastating floods and mudslides that struck the area. The man was traveling with a group of foreign tourists when severe weather hit, and contact with him and other members of the group was lost after the flooding began.

Harel Insurance Company announced that a search and rescue team from its "Harel 669" unit will depart for Nepal in the coming hours to join efforts to locate the missing Israeli and the tour group he was traveling with in the region.

According to the company, the floods and mudslides have blocked access routes and cut off entire areas from communication. The rescue team will consist of approximately eight Israeli rescue specialists who are expected to deploy ground search teams, drones, and surveillance equipment. Harel representatives said they are maintaining contact with the missing man's family, Israel's Foreign Ministry, and local authorities in Nepal.
