Yisrael Beiteinu candidate rules out sitting with Netanyahu or relying on Arab parties: We'll form a government with Zionist mandates only
Yisrael Beiteinu is drawing sharp red lines ahead of the next election, with a new Knesset candidate spelling out exactly who the party will and will not sit with in government.
Rafi Ben Shtrit, running on Avigdor Liberman's list, addressed coalition scenarios today and made clear his party will under no circumstances join a government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Even if the world turns upside down, we won't sit next to, behind or in front of Netanyahu," Ben Shtrit declared.
Ben Shtrit also ruled out relying on Arab parties to form a coalition, setting out the boundaries of any future partnership: "We will form a government with Zionist mandates only."
The statement reflects Yisrael Beiteinu's longstanding position of refusing to sit in a Netanyahu-led government while also maintaining a strictly Zionist coalition framework that excludes Arab parties from the governing coalition or from serving as its parliamentary base.
