Likud MK Praises Gotliev's Party Switch

Hanoch Milwidsky called Tally Gotliv's departure to Otzma Yehudit "a great loss" for Likud, while congratulating Itamar Ben-Gvir on gaining the lawmaker

Knesset member Hanoch Milwidsky of Likud addressed the departure of fellow lawmaker Tally Gotliv to Otzma Yehudit on Friday, describing her exit as a significant blow to the ruling party. Despite the loss, Milwidsky offered congratulations to Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir and expressed hope for the success of the broader right-wing bloc.

In his public remarks, Milwidsky offered high praise for both her character and her political commitment. "Tally Gotliv is an honest, loyal and ideological Knesset member. There aren't many like her," he said.

While acknowledging a personal friendship with Gotliv, Milwidsky stressed that his assessment of her departure extended beyond their personal relationship. "Tali is also my friend, but regardless of our friendship, her move to Otzma Yehudit is a great loss for Likud, in every respect," he wrote.

Milwidsky's statement struck a dual tone, expressing genuine regret over losing Gotliv from Likud's ranks while simultaneously offering warm wishes to the party she is joining and its leader.

Concluding his remarks, the Likud lawmaker directed positive words toward Ben-Gvir and the wider political camp. "Congratulations to Itamar Ben-Gvir and great success to the entire right-wing bloc," the Knesset member wrote.
