  • Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pushed back directly on recent speculation about his health during an interview with podcast host Avi Shoshan, insisting his condition is excellent and offering a rare glimpse into his daily habits, according to Srugim.

Shoshan opened the conversation by complimenting the prime minister's appearance, telling him he looked excellent. Netanyahu responded with a Hebrew expression of gratitude, thanking God and warding off the evil eye.

The host then raised claims that had circulated on Channel 13 regarding Netanyahu's health, telling him he appeared to be a man at the height of his strength. Netanyahu used the moment to take aim at Israeli media outlets, accusing certain channels of promoting what he called a fictitious reality rather than the truth.

Pressed further on whether he was in good health, Netanyahu answered that he was doing well and described his routine in simple terms: exercising, sleeping, and eating properly, adding that he wished he could sleep a bit more but that overall things were fine.

The conversation then shifted to a lighter, more personal tone. Shoshan told the prime minister that speaking with him left the impression of someone very pleasant, a contrast to his public image. Netanyahu said he often hears similar reactions from people who meet him or his wife Sara in person, noting that people frequently tell him the impression they get in person is very different from what they see on television or in the media, to which he replies that the in-person version is the true one.

Shoshan added that Netanyahu came across in conversation as easygoing, remarking that the public is not used to picturing him that way. The prime minister responded with humor, asking how exactly he was supposed to behave instead.
