Hours before the rally commenced, United Torah Judaism chairman MK Yitzhak Goldknopf, accompanied by party operative Moti Babchik, conducted an emotional visit inside Prison 10 to meet with the incarcerated yeshiva students. "It is impossible to witness the tears of these young men and their parents, whose only transgression is walking the path of Torah and reverence as instructed by their rabbis," Goldknopf stated, his voice breaking.
