Netanyahu meets Dubai flight heroes
Prime Minister hosted the four passengers who wrestled the co-pilot to the ground, saved the plane from crashing into the desert, and gave life-saving medical care to the captain. You will all light a torch together on the next Independence Day, he promised.

Netanyahu brought together the heroes of the flight: Yaniv Chion, Or Perdilov, Dr. Shota Mosiev, and his wife Sigalit.
The Prime Minister spoke with those present, heard new details about the dramatic moments in the cockpit, and praised the courage of the four.
"You will all light a torch together on the next Independence Day," Prime Minister Netanyahu promised, describing it as "a torch of civilian heroism the likes of which I do not remember, this is an enormous thing. There is nothing like this and there has never been anything like it. This is to the glory of the State of Israel."

The Prime Minister then received a comprehensive briefing from all those present and learned new details of the sequence of events, moment by moment, during the most critical seconds aboard the plunging aircraft.
