Palestinian official warns of settlement expansion risk after Jewish takeover of Jericho homes

Hassan Malihaat, general inspector of the Al-Bidar organization in Jericho, stated that houses taken over by settlers in Al-Duyuk al-Tahta, west of Jericho, are located near the city center and raise concerns about danger to residents and the possibility of establishing a settlement neighborhood in the area. The houses were built on land classified as Area C and border land classified as Area A. IDF forces are in the area providing protection for the settlers.
