Polish Foreign Minister warns against territorial concessions to Russia in Ukraine

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski criticized assumptions by American negotiators that the Ukraine war is solely about territory and that Putin would end it if Ukraine cedes the last two cities in Donbas. Sikorski called this a mistake, warning that "there might be some kind of pause" but emphasizing that Russia needs Ukraine for global superpower status. "The Soviet Union minus Ukraine is Russia without great-power status. To be a global superpower, Russia needs Ukraine," he stated.
