Journalist and broadcaster Ella Hasson launched a sharp attack this morning against Israeli media outlets and public discourse, in an interview she gave on Sharon Gal's program on Galei Israel radio.
"Every day a storm, every day an explosion, every day a campaign, every day brainwashing, every day hatred," Hasson said at the opening of her remarks on the media. "We've reached a situation where Mansour Abbas is a 'cute teddy bear.' I'm not speaking against Israeli Arabs, I'm speaking about this party that is based on the Muslim Brotherhood and the Shura Council. How they're trying to whitewash it."
She recalled investigative reports she had published on the subject in the past: "I published at the time, when he sat in the government under Bennett, how he and his party donated and collected huge sums for charity organizations of the sons of terrorists in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria. They silenced it!"
She also addressed what she described as media pressure and attacks on freedom of speech: "There's also silencing of voices here. Let's put things on the table. My friend, who like you and me worked in a certain place and left there, not for nothing, because of silencing, persecution, jealousy, and baseless hatred."
