After months in which he has not been seen publicly, Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf claimed Tuesday that he recently met with the country's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, and discussed with him developments in the war against the US and Israel and the state of Iran's economy.

In his remarks, Ghalibaf also updated on the younger Khamenei's health, saying "his health condition is completely fine. His strong, vital and hopeful spirit, alongside his determination and inner calm, stood out to me. We discussed issues related to the war, the axis of resistance, negotiations, the economic isolation and the naval blockade."

Since his appointment as Supreme Leader of Iran on March 8, Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public, and no verified visual or audio recordings of him have been released. Over the months, several written statements have been published in Khamenei's name, alongside messages and directives reported in his name by senior regime officials.

Khamenei's absence from the public arena has raised many questions and speculation regarding his health. Many have assessed that he was injured in the strike that killed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and is suffering from serious injuries, but so far there has been no official confirmation.
