Six years after leaving Britain to settle in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in the UK on Wednesday with their two children—Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
The family's arrival comes just days after reports emerged that the couple had decided to return to Britain for an extended period. Landing at Birmingham Airport on a private flight from California, the Sussexes chose a route designed to minimize public exposure.
Rather than using one of London's major airports, Harry and Meghan opted for Birmingham, a decision that allowed them to avoid media scrutiny while shortening their journey to the Cotswolds region, where they are expected to reside. Private vehicles and security personnel were waiting upon their arrival, and the family departed the airport without being photographed. A spokesperson for the couple declined to comment on the reports, saying only: "This is not something we will respond to."
The couple plans to live in a private residence not owned by the royal family, located outside London. Their two children have already been accepted into British educational institutions and are scheduled to begin the new school year in September.
