Prof. Yaron Zelekha, number two on the Miluimnikim HaKlalit (Economic Reservists) party list, said in an interview on Radio 103FM that his party will not compromise on its principles in coalition negotiations after the election, even if it means sitting in opposition.
If their demands are not met by either bloc, "we'll sit in opposition," Zelekha said. "It's honourable to sit in opposition and continue telling the public the truth. The truth is that you can't live here. People want to live, not just survive. If we're big and strong, there will be no choice but to form a government according to our principles."
Zelekha addressed the polling data and said that "in the vast majority of polls, except Channel 24 and Channel 14, on 11, 12, 13, Maariv, Israel Hayom, we're averaging five mandates. In our internal polls we're scraping six, and the seventh mandate is waiting for us."
