Dozens Columbia University students involved in the "tentifada" last year against Israel's war in Gaza, including the large encampment and the forced takeover of the Butler Library have now been given suspensions ranging from one to three years, according to a report today (Tuesday) by the New York Post.
A Columbia University spokesperson said that "Disruptions to academic activities are in violation of University policies and Rules, and such violations will necessarily generate consequences. The speed with which our updated UJB system has offered an equitable resolution to the community and students involved is a testament to the hard work of this institution to improve its processes.”
