A prominent Lebanese media figure has delivered an unprecedented broadcast directly challenging the armed presence of Hezbollah and its absolute allegiance to the Islamic Republic of Iran. During a recent television segment, host Walid Abboud voiced the deep frustrations of a population weary of being dragged into regional wars, demanding that the proxy network dismantle its operations and leave the country permanently.
In a passionate address on Hala Al Arabiya TV, Abboud made a direct and uncompromising call to the leadership and members of the armed group. He demanded that they leave, telling them to take their weapons, their drones, their rockets, their mouthpieces, their flags, their Supreme Leader, their Iran, and their resistance axis with them.
The broadcaster argued that the great Iran has planted a nuclear bomb in the midst of Lebanese society, falsely justifying its destructive presence in the name of honor. He highlighted the severe disparity between the ruling elite and ordinary citizens, noting that while the leadership pursues foreign agendas, the local population is consumed by wars and killed by hunger.
Abboud took direct aim at Hezbollah, which he referred to as a godly party that has planted weapons and drones throughout every corner of Lebanon. While the group continuously claims it exists to save the nation, the host pointed out that it is actually finishing the country off.
He demanded an end to the exploitation, stating that the group must stop hijacking the populace, stop putting local dreams in chains, stop plundering the economy, stop killing children, and stop blackmailing both the citizens and the wider world.
The anchor made it clear that the domestic perception of the group has fundamentally changed, stating loud and clear that people no longer see them as a legitimate resistance movement. He noted that when citizens look at the group, all they hear is the din of weapons and all they smell is the distinct scent of death.
According to the broadcast, the extensive arsenal held by the proxy group has turned into a source of constant noise rather than a protective shield, acting as a restrictive prison rather than a reliable shelter. Abboud compared the extensive underground drone factories built beneath the soil to the literal graves of the dreams of the citizens living above ground.
He asserted that the group is not the destiny of the nation, and that the population will no longer be held hostage by their dangerous delusions. Addressing the group's external command structure, Abboud questioned who told them that weapons abiding by the strict orders of Qom and Tehran could ever constitute a true national resistance.
He challenged the idea that absolute loyalty to Iran could ever be equated with genuine patriotism, telling the operatives to go away and settle permanently in those faraway lands instead. The host concluded by stating that Iran would certainly not reject them, given the extensive exchange of bread, salt, weapons, gold, immense sums of money, and illegal Captagon between the entities.
He added that Tehran would never provide a cold shoulder after all the love shown to it, reiterating a final plea for the operatives to leave so that the nation can finally live in peace. Unlike the actions of regional terror groups such as Hamas terrorists, who continue to destabilize their own areas, Abboud insisted that Lebanon deserves a future completely free from external containment and proxy warfare.
