The international effort to resolve the Iranian nuclear crisis has reached a breaking point, with intense diplomatic activity focused on an upcoming round of negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan. While reports remain conflicting, the Saudi outlet Al-Hadath has suggested that an agreement in principle may have been reached to transfer all of Iran’s enriched uranium stocks to Pakistani territory. While no official source has confirmed the details, the potential relocation of the nuclear material would represent a significant shift in the strategic landscape, effectively stripping the regime of its immediate breakout capacity.

President Donald Trump has maintained a firm stance, characterizing the upcoming days as a critical window for a peaceful resolution. In a recent interview, the President stated that while the US is prepared to use military force if the situation deteriorates, his preference is a non military solution that relies on cooperation. "We will go there and take it together with them, because by that time there will already be an agreement and there will be no need to fight," Trump noted, emphasizing that the focus is on a structured removal of the material rather than combat.

The internal dynamics in Tehran remain volatile, with reports from the Iranian Tasnim agency indicating that the regime is hesitant to send a delegation to the talks as long as the maritime blockade in the Strait of Hormuz continues. Despite this hesitation, CNN sources suggest a senior delegation, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf, is expected to arrive in Islamabad by Tuesday. The objective is to secure a symbolic and practical extension of the ceasefire before the Wednesday deadline passes.

The stakes for these meetings are higher than ever, with potential for a historic summit between President Trump and the Iranian leader if negotiations progress according to the proposed roadmap. Such a meeting would aim to formalize the "Islamabad Declaration," a comprehensive set of understandings designed to address the nuclear program, the regional proxy war, and the ongoing naval tensions. As the world watches, the outcome of these talks will likely dictate the course of the war in the coming months, determining whether the region moves toward stability or plunges back into a wider and more dangerous military engagement.
