Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that Israel’s military campaign against Iran is ongoing, even as US and Iranian negotiators meet in Islamabad to discuss a possible ceasefire.

“The campaign is not over yet,” Netanyahu said in remarks, adding that Iran had shifted from seeking Israel’s destruction to “fighting to survive.” He argued that Israeli operations had significantly weakened Tehran’s capabilities but stressed that “there is still more to do.”

Netanyahu claimed that Israel’s recent military actions had dealt major blows to Iran’s strategic infrastructure, including energy facilities, transportation networks, and elements of its missile program. He also said Israel had targeted nuclear-related personnel and facilities, asserting that these actions had prevented Iran from advancing toward nuclear weapons.

According to the prime minister, Israeli intelligence and operations disrupted efforts by Iran to continue missile production and nuclear development, including activity he said was being moved underground. He maintained that Iran’s enrichment capabilities had been effectively neutralized.

Netanyahu further claimed that Iran’s leadership is under internal strain and is seeking a ceasefire under pressure, while its missile stockpiles are being steadily reduced.

Beyond the Iranian front, Netanyahu pointed to what he described as a broader shift in Israel’s regional position. He said Israel’s military actions had strengthened its standing, leading to increased engagement from other countries.

He also revealed that Lebanon had recently approached Israel regarding direct negotiations, which he said he approved on the condition that Hezbollah disarm and that any talks lead to a “real peace agreement.”

Netanyahu framed the current moment as a turning point, crediting Israeli military operations for reshaping the regional balance of power. However, his comments underscored that Israel is not yet prepared to conclude its campaign, even as diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire continue.
