A Hezbollah member of Lebanon's parliament has made an unusual public disclosure about coordination with Yemen's Houthi rebels, claiming the Iranian-backed group is preparing to fight Israel from Lebanese soil.
Ihab Hamadeh, speaking on Hezbollah's Al-Manar television network, stated that Houthis are readying themselves for the possibility of combat operations against Israel launched from Lebanon. The interview was documented and distributed by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
According to Hamadeh, ties between Hezbollah and the Houthis are no secret, with "regular meetings" taking place between the two organizations. He went on to assert that the Yemeni terror group is actively preparing for potential operations against Israel from Lebanese territory.
