This Land Is Our Land
No Other Land barred from publicly funded Israeli institutions
Following the appeal of activist Shai Glick, publicly funded cultural institutions and films will not be screening the Oscar-winning Israeli film, which is accused of distorting the facts.

The Israeli movie No Other Land, which won Best Documentary Film at the latest Oscars, will not be screened in publicly funded theaters or institutions due to being considered "libelous" and "inciteful," according to a statement by Beztalmo activist Shai Glick.
According to the statement:
The day before yesterday, the extremist and inciteful film "No Other Land" won an Oscar. This is a film full of hatred, incitement, and blood libels against IDF soldiers, the State of Israel, and residents of Judea and Samaria.
The film presents a false, inciteful narrative that contradicts the facts, as already determined by all Supreme Court judges in a series of legal proceedings, that the film's creator and his family live in illegal territories they invaded. Despite this, the film conceals these facts and of course the many terrorist attacks originating from Judea and Samaria, and presents a distorted and false narrative.
As mentioned, the film was released the day before yesterday, and immediately afterward, the Betzalmo organization approached the Minister of Culture as well as directors of cultural institutions and cinematheques across the country demanding not to screen this inciteful film. Similarly, the Minister of Culture immediately sent a similar letter.
Glick noted that screening the film in Israel is not legal due to the Cinema Ordinance, and any body that screens the film will have its budget revoked due to violations of the Nakba Law. Indeed, this morning the Standing Together organization announced that the film will not be screened in cinematheques and cultural buildings, only in private places due to concerns about budget cuts.
Shai Glick, Director of Betzalmo, stated that "as we have said all along, governance applies to culture too. A cultural institution that chooses to break the law and incite against Israel will pay the full price, and I am glad that cultural institutions understand that what was is not what will be. I thank my friend, Minister of Culture Miki Zohar, who stands behind this revolution, and we promise to continue fighting for freedom of culture and against freedom of incitement and hatred."
