Disney's Carla Jeffrey Dies at 33

Jeffrey, known for playing Bree in Disney's "Zombies" film franchise, passed away in September after a career spanning more than two decades

The entertainment world is mourning the loss of Karla Jeffrey, a Disney Channel actress best known for her role in the "Zombies" film series, who died at age 33. Jeffrey passed away on September 1, according to her talent agency. No cause of death has been disclosed at this time.

Alexanders Talent Management, which represented Jeffrey since she was 12 years old, confirmed her passing in a statement. Her manager described how Jeffrey had become far more than a client over the years, and requested privacy for the family during this difficult period.

Though many will remember her primarily for "Zombies," Jeffrey's acting career began years earlier. She entered the entertainment industry as a child and accumulated credits across numerous television and film productions over more than two decades.

Her television appearances included roles in "Shake It Up," "Good Luck Charlie," "Scream Queens," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," and "American Vandal." One of her earliest film roles came in 2006's "Phat Girlz."

Disney Channel viewers will recognizeher twin brother, Karlon Jeffrey, for his starring role in the series "A.N.T. Farm."

Following news of her death, colleagues and friends from the industry began posting tributes on social media, including Milo Manheim, who starred alongside her throughout the "Zombies" films.
