Ariana Grande Condemns Israel: "Starving People to Death Is a Red Line"

Singer Ariana Grande joins celebrities speaking out against Gaza humanitarian crisis, sharing "Red Line" campaign message with her 374 million Instagram followers about aid access.

American singer and actress Ariana Grande has joined growing calls to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, standing alongside numerous celebrities who have expressed support for Palestinians and demanded immediate international intervention.

On Sunday, Grande shared a series of Instagram Stories on her official account addressing the ongoing humanitarian emergency in the Gaza Strip. One of the posts, shared with her 374 million followers, featured the slogan of the British pro-Palestinian campaign Red Line for Gaza and read: “Starving people to death is a red line. The Israeli government is crossing this red line before our eyes. History will ask each of us what we did while we watched them starve. Demand that aid gets through. Do it now before it’s too late.”

In September 2024, Ariana Grande was among a long list of Hollywood celebrities who signed a petition urging then-U.S. President Joe Biden to halt the “illegal supply of weapons to Israel.” The petition, published by the organization Artists4Ceasefire, was also signed by Ben Affleck, Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Dua Lipa, Jenna Ortega, Jennifer Lopez, and Susan Sarandon, among others.

Earlier this month, Grammy-winning American singer Olivia Rodrigo posted on Instagram calling for fundraising to support children in Gaza through the United Nations’ UNICEF Emergency Fund. She wrote, “No child in Israel, Palestine, or anywhere else in the world deserves to endure the suffering we are witnessing. It is horrifying and unacceptable.”

One week prior, American singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey also addressed the conflict in an Instagram post, stating she “prays for Palestine every day,” “wishes for peace among all peoples,” and added that “it’s painful to see innocent victims killed in war crimes.”
