First City Moves to Reopen Schools Despite Home Front Restrictions
Ramat Gan is preparing to resume studies on Tuesday, despite the renewed fighting with Iran and the current Home Front Command restrictions.

Ramat Gan is preparing to resume studies on Tuesday, despite the renewed fighting with Iran and the current Home Front Command restrictions.
According to Channel 12 reporter Dean Fischer, Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen held a special security assessment and decided that the city is prepared for a partial return of the education system.
In a message to residents, Shama-Hacohen said the municipality is preparing for kindergartens, daycare centers and grades 1-3 to resume full activity on Tuesday.
“The studies in daycare centers, kindergartens and grades 1-3 are expected to return tomorrow in Ramat Gan in full,” he wrote.
The mayor added that the decision depends on there being no further escalation or concrete expectation of escalation.
The move makes Ramat Gan the first city to publicly announce a planned return to studies after the latest round of Iranian missile fire and the nationwide suspension of educational activity.
The municipality said it remains in continuous contact with Home Front Command and security officials, and will update residents if the situation changes.
