Israel's National Traffic Police launched an intensive summer enforcement campaign targeting life-threatening traffic violations, deploying a combination of on-the-ground presence and advanced digital monitoring systems.

The operation, conducted by the Yarkon-Sharon district traffic unit, aimed to ensure drivers and families return home safely. Officers monitored major highways and high-risk intersections in real time, immediately responding when dangerous violations were detected.

Among the incidents documented: a driver operating a truck weighing over 10 tons illegally entered an intersection from the left lane, creating a hazardous situation. The driver received a citation for 500 shekels (approximately $135) and four penalty points. In another case, police caught a female driver traveling at 146 kilometers per hour in a zone with a 90 km/h speed limit, exceeding the limit by more than 60%. Her license was suspended for 30 days.
