Less than a month after news broke that former captive Eli Sharabi had found new love, the relationship has ended. Sharabi, who endured 481 days in the hands of Hamas terrorists in Gaza, has confirmed that he and his girlfriend, Yaara Krispil, an architect of body and movement, have parted ways.

Sharabi, 53, was released from the Gaza Strip in February. His new relationship with Krispil, who also runs a clinic specializing in pain treatment and sports injury rehabilitation, was publicly revealed in October, generating widespread positive attention following his long ordeal.

Confirmation of the Breakup

The news of the separation was delivered by Sharabi himself late last week, during an interview with the Israeli current affairs program, "HaOlam HaBoker" (The World This Morning) on Reshet 13.

When asked about his love life, Sharabi stated concisely: "I am no longer in the relationship that was published."

A Public Debut

The couple’s brief relationship first came to light in October when they made a joint public appearance at the opening of the Israel-Canada Fashion Week Tel Aviv.

That evening was particularly significant for Sharabi. He walked the runway at the event, using the high-profile platform to make a heartfelt appeal for the return of all remaining captives still held by Hamas. Krispil documented Sharabi's participation that night, posting a photo of the two of them on his Instagram account and capturing the moments backstage.

Sharabi's return to normalcy after his captivity has been marked by various efforts to raise awareness for those still held in Gaza. While the news of the separation is unfortunate, it underscores the intense challenges, both public and private, that survivors face as they attempt to rebuild their lives following such a traumatic experience.
