Ceasefire Under Fire: Hezbollah Targets IDF Forces with Anti-Tank Missiles and Drones
Multiple ceasefire violations were recorded in southern Lebanon on Tuesday as Hezbollah targeted IDF forces with explosive drones, anti-tank missiles, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

The fragile ceasefire in the north faced multiple challenges today as the IDF Spokesperson confirmed several direct attacks on forces operating in southern Lebanon. In a series of provocations throughout the afternoon, Hezbollah militants targeted Israeli troops with a variety of weaponry, testing the limits of the current agreements.
Aerial Confrontations and Failed Launches
During an Air Force support mission for ground troops, a miniature surface-to-air missile was fired at an Israeli aircraft. The launch failed, and the IDF reported no damage or injuries.
Shortly after, the Air Force successfully intercepted a "suspicious aerial target" before it could cross into Israeli sovereign territory. In accordance with standard policy, no sirens were activated during that specific interception. However, sirens sounded in Misgav Am approximately an hour later following the infiltration of hostile aircraft; the IDF confirmed that several aerial targets were intercepted over Lebanese territory before crossing the border.
Ground Escalation: Explosive Charges and Drones
The morning and early afternoon saw a concentrated effort by Hezbollah to strike ground units:
Despite the intensity of these encounters, the IDF confirmed that all events ended without casualties to Israeli forces.
The IDF Response
The IDF Spokesperson emphasized that the Israeli Air Force remains fully engaged in supporting ground forces, stating: "The Air Force continues to assist the fighting forces on the ground in both offensive and defensive capacities at all times."
While Israel continues to operate within the framework of the ceasefire, these repeated violations by Hezbollah raise significant questions regarding the stability of the current security arrangement in the region.
