Schneider Children’s Medical Center has issued a formal clarification following a wave of viral social media rumors claiming that hospitals in central Israel have been ordered into emergency mode ahead of a potential regional escalation.

In the last few hours, messages circulated widely across WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok, alleging a "dramatic directive" had been issued to staff at Schneider and Beilinson hospitals. The false reports claimed that medical teams were placed on peak alert and instructed to prepare for the immediate evacuation of patients to underground fortified shelters.

Schneider Medical Center moved quickly to quell the panic, stating that the reports were entirely baseless.

"In recent hours, a message has been circulating claiming that the hospital has instructed teams to prepare for immediate evacuation to protected spaces," the hospital’s spokesperson stated. "It is important to clarify that this message was not issued by the hospital, and no directive has been given to change the level of alert. Schneider Center continues to follow routine guidelines."

The rumors gained traction amid intense media speculation regarding a potential joint U.S.-Israeli strike against Iran. While official sources in both countries have acknowledged high levels of preparedness, health officials emphasized that no changes have been made to the civilian or medical home-front instructions at this time.

Authorities are urging the public to rely only on official statements from hospital spokespeople and the IDF Home Front Command, rather than unverified reports on social networks.
