Sirens were sounded at 9:22 a.m. in Gush Dan, the Shephelah, Samaria and near Jerusalem following the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen. These are the first sirens in the central region in about two weeks.

For the first time, a fall was recorded at Ben Gurion Airport; the missile crashed near Terminal 3. The airport was closed for about an hour but then reopened.

Three people sustained light injuries according to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service. MDA teams treated a 50-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman who were lightly wounded by the explosion itself, as well as a 32-year-old woman who was injured while rushing to a shelter. All three were evacuated for further medical care.

Doron Kadosh of Galie Tsahal reports that after 26 ballistic missiles from Yemen that were successfully intercepted in the past month and a half, the 27th missile launched this morning was apparently not intercepted. As has been repeated many times during the war: There is no hermetic defense.

"Whoever harms us will hurt sevenfold," Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said following the fall.

According to security sources, both the Arrow defense system and the American THAAD system tried to intercept the ballistic missile from Yemen, but both missed.

Warnings were received in large areas following the launch from Yemen. The IDF announced that it had identified a missile launch from Yemen into Israel and said that the defense systems were working to intercept the threat. In another statement, it was stated that "interception attempts were carried out, the results of which are being examined."
