"In about a month and a half, we will mark three years since October 7," Zamir told the assembled commanders. "Three years during which the IDF has been engaged in a multi-front, complex and continuous campaign, in Gaza, in Judea and Samaria, in Lebanon, in Syria, in Iran and in additional arenas. This represents an enormous challenge for the IDF, and we have achieved extraordinary accomplishments across all fronts and sectors. Our forces have prevailed in every battle, significantly weakened all our enemies, and struck their capabilities and infrastructure. We continue to prepare and remain vigilant across all arenas, understanding that the campaign is not over."
Regarding Gaza specifically, Zamir stated: "We are not abandoning the overarching objective, demilitarizing the Strip and dismantling Hamas's weapons, using all necessary means. We continue to operate systematically for sustained strikes against Hamas and its leaders everywhere, including an ongoing campaign to prevent its reconstitution. The pursuit of the October 7 terrorists continues, anyone who participated in the massacre will live as a fugitive until eliminated. This is a long-term mission to which the command and the entire IDF are committed."
