Ofer Winter Slams Chief Military Advocate
After her fake suicide attempt yesterday, Tomer-Yerushalmi arrived at the hearing. She wasn't wearing her uniform and also was not handcuffed. Her family also attended to support her.

Israel’s Chief Military Advocate, Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, has had her detention extended on suspicion of fraud, breach of trust, obstruction of justice, and abuse of office.
As reported by Itay Blumental, Tomer-Yerushalmi, who until just four days ago headed the IDF’s legal system and served as a member of the General Staff, was arrested this morning by court order, marking an unprecedented event in IDF history.
Before the hearing began, right-wing activists attacked Tomer-Yerushalmi’s family, shouting at them: “How can you sleep at night with such a monster?” A confidential report concerning her mental state was submitted to the court, as reported by Walla.
During the court hearing, it was revealed that five additional senior officials from the Military Advocate General’s Corps are under investigation, with seven individuals questioned so far.
The allegations include a cover-up, interference with investigations, and severe ethical misconduct, described by legal observers as offenses that “must not be treated lightly.”
Tomer-Yerushalmi’s lawyer, Dori Kligsblat, requested that she be released to house arrest, noting that the investigation has been ongoing for more than a week. He added: “The police already have WhatsApp chats from groups she was part of, from the phones of other suspects, so there is no risk of obstruction if she hasn’t interfered yet.”
The police representative opposed this, stating, “We have serious concerns about obstruction.”
Amit Segal explained,
"This testimony shows that the Deputy Military Prosecutor knowingly covered up the investigation, with the Attorney General either allowing it through action or omission.
The only way forward is to detain him for questioning and obtain testimony from the Attorney General’s staff.
But who would allow that? The Attorney General herself?
Reminder: She ruled that Zini could not serve as head of the Shin Bet due to a conflict of interest created during a ten-minute meeting in a car."
A senior police officer told Channel 14: "They are investigating a suspicion that Tomer Yerushalmi's husband is involved in obstructing the investigation." The police suspect that the husband who reported her disappearance knew about her intention to disappear without harming herself and helped her. During her disappearance, not only was an insanely costly search launched to find her, but her cellphone with incriminating evidence 'magically' disappeared.
The detention of former top prosecutor Col. Matan Solomash was extended by the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court.
Solomash maintains that he was not part of the team that leaked the Shdema Yemen video. His lawyer, Simhoni, confirmed this in court. The police stated that this is the version Solomash provided during questioning, but due to technical issues, the phones were not fully extracted, and they rely only on partial data, which contradicts his version. When Simhoni asked what factual allegations were being made against his client, the police declined to comment directly, stating only: “We attribute to him the leaking of investigation material in the Shdema Yemen case, as well as any obstruction or concealment of events, including petitions filed regarding the matter.”
Ofer Winter, a well-known IDF Brigadier General, ousted by Herzi Halevi in 2024, commented:
"Our soldiers, first and foremost, the incident with the Military Prosecutor reveals the moral decay that has spread through parts of the senior IDF command in recent decades. IDF soldiers, especially our brothers in arms, are the holiest of the holy in Israeli society. They are our true representatives. We have a moral obligation to protect them just as they protect us.
This distorted mindset, which places enemy civilians above our own soldiers, and the misguided approach of pandering to international courts and adopting international law as if it were Jewish morality, our morality, are the very perspectives that have led IDF chiefs and senior Israeli government officials in recent years to act on the backs of our soldiers. This is what gave the Military Prosecutor the legitimacy to commit the despicable act she did.
It is important to understand that the Military Prosecutor is merely a symptom of a much larger and deeper problem: a loss of moral compass and the distortion of justice, and this is something we must correct."
