IDF reveals Gaza Civil Defense Spokesman is secretly an active Hamas terrorist 

The IDF announced Sunday that Mahmoud Zabar Tafesh Bassal, spokesperson for the Gaza Strip’s Civil Defense, is an active member of the Hamas terrorist organization. The revelation follows an analysis of documents recovered during IDF operations in Gaza.

According to the military, Bassal has long used his official role to disseminate false and unverified information to the international media. “He has repeatedly accused Israel of war crimes and circulated fabricated data,” the IDF said. “These distortions have received widespread global coverage, significantly misrepresenting the situation on the ground.”

“The documents now revealed prove unequivocally: Mahmoud Saber Tafesh Bassal is a Hamas terrorist,” the statement continued. “Through his position, he serves the organization’s psychological warfare and propaganda efforts.”

The IDF urged media outlets to verify all information originating from Gaza’s Civil Defense and to be cautious when reporting material distributed by Hamas.
