Startups meet war: battlefield reimagined
Mind-Blowing Tech the IDF is Using to Win in Gaza
At a pivotal Tel Aviv conference, Israeli defense leaders unveiled a suite of civilian-to-military tech innovations designed to change the face of IDF ops in Gaza. From drones delivering blood to AI-driven therapy systems and PTSD-reducing helmets, the "Innotal" initiative signals a high-tech evolution of warfare in real time, blending battlefield urgency with startup agility

At the "Innotal" conference held yesterday, hosted by the IDF’s Technology and Logistics Division, the Defense Ministry’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D), and the Israel Innovation Institute, cutting-edge technologies were showcased to reshape the battlefield in the ongoing "Iron Swords" war in Gaza.
Led by Maj. Gen. Michel Yanko, Brig. Gen. Gil Pinchas, and Dr. Danny Gold, the event highlighted civilian technologies integrated into military operations, including medical, food, automotive, and energy solutions.

The "Innotal" program, a groundbreaking initiative, selected 15 projects from hundreds of candidates to enhance IDF capabilities rapidly for combat conditions. Innovations presented included drones delivering blood and supplies directly to the field, a helmet to reduce PTSD symptoms, and an AI-based physiotherapy system for battlefield use. An exhibition allowed attendees to experience these technologies, set to redefine modern warfare.
