Thursday will also see pleasant conditions once morning cloud cover clears, according to the forecast. Temperatures will climb further, running slightly above seasonal averages especially in the mountains and inland areas. Heat stress will increase across most regions. From midday onward, northerly winds will strengthen along the coastal plain.
Friday will bring another slight temperature increase, particularly in mountainous and inland regions, where conditions will be hotter and drier than usual for the season. Coastal areas will experience oppressive humidity. Heat stress will intensify further, reaching severe to extreme levels across most parts of the country.
