Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar spoke today (Tuesday) with Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed on the phone, and they agreed to allow UAE humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, according to Kann reporter Roi Kais.
According to the report, the aid will initially include food for 15,000 Gazans.
The official statement says that "the initiative includes the provision of basic materials needed to operate bakeries in the Strip in addition to urgent children's products with a promise of continuity for these materials to meet the needs of the civilians," according to Channel 14.
Britain, Canada, and France recently issued a joint statement promising consequences for Israel if it did not immediately allow humanitarian aid into Gaza in an unlimited fashion. Britain has since announced the suspension of talks for a free trade agreement with Israel.
