Tibi Sets Thursday Deadline for Renewed Joint Arab List Talks

Efforts to reestablish the Joint Arab List are facing serious difficulties, with the Arab parties still far from an agreement.
According to i24NEWS reporter Nadav Elimelech, negotiating teams from the different parties met Sunday for a lengthy discussion, but the meeting ended without a breakthrough or meaningful progress toward a signed deal.
Despite the deadlock, the parties have not yet given up. Negotiators are expected to meet again on Tuesday and Wednesday for another round of talks, in what may be the final attempt to bridge the remaining gaps.
Ta’al chairman MK Ahmad Tibi made clear that the process cannot continue indefinitely, setting a firm deadline for the talks.
According to Tibi, the coming week will determine whether the Arab parties can reunite ahead of the election. He said that if no signed agreement is reached by Thursday, it will be possible to say officially that there will be no further talks on the issue.
Such a failure would effectively end the current effort to revive the Joint Arab List, leaving the parties to run separately or seek other arrangements before the election.
